INSIDE "ONLY THE STRONG"
For "Only the Strong," loads of preparation was necessary, as Mark had to learn Capoeira, a completely different style of martial arts. He had already been taking classes on his own in Capoeira for three months.
He had to start training early summer of 1992 for this movie. The next seven months consisted of intense training. Mark wasn't used to training barefoot, and got blisters and "bloody toes."
His daily workout began with one and one-half hours with weights, followed by a two-hour Capoeira session in the afternoon. Mark followed this routine six days a week.
